UI/UX Designer

Freelance UI/UX role designing product-grade web and mobile experiences across web apps, AI workflows, fintech experiments, and internal tools.

What you'll do

  • Turn ambiguous product briefs into user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity screens.

  • Design product-grade web and mobile app surfaces across MVPs, AI workflows, fintech experiments, and internal tools.

  • Build and maintain practical Figma component libraries with variants, states, tokens, and responsive behavior.

  • Use AI design tools for ideation, rapid prototyping, asset generation, and exploration while documenting the context and constraints you provided.

  • Run lightweight research, competitive review, heuristic checking, and visual/perceptual evaluation before handoff.

  • Prepare developer-ready handoff: Dev Mode, specs, edge states, implementation notes, and QA feedback after build.

Job requirements

The Resonance Team builds technology products across web apps, AI, fintech, and internal tools. These are freelance, project-based roles, with preference for long-term collaborators who can take recurring projects.

Must-have

  • 2+ years of hands-on UI/UX work for web apps or mobile apps, beyond landing pages.

  • Advanced Figma: Auto layout, components, variants, design tokens, and Dev Mode.

  • Design system thinking: build and maintain practical component libraries.

  • Portfolio plus at least one detailed case study from problem to process to outcome.

  • Clean developer handoff with specs, states, and implementation notes.

  • Clear work specification, transparent communication, and strong learning/adaptability.

  • Strong visual/perceptual evaluation habits using manual checking and appropriate tools.

AI workflow

Important note: The team has integrated AI tools into the daily workflow. Candidates must have hands-on, practical experience with AI tools, not just light or occasional usage.

  • Hands-on AI design workflow with rapid prototyping tools such as v0.dev, Magic Patterns, Galileo AI, or Uizard.

  • Uses Figma AI or FigJam AI for ideation, structure, and wireframe exploration.

  • Uses asset generation tools such as Midjourney, Flux, Recraft, or Ideogram with intentional style/context control.

  • Writes clear context, constraints, acceptance criteria, and design intent before asking AI to generate options.

  • Can explain what was AI-assisted, what was manually judged, and how quality was controlled.

  • Understands basic responsible AI concerns: ethics, bias, fairness, and accountability.

Nice-to-have

  • Motion design with Framer, Rive, After Effects, or Lottie export.

  • Illustration or digital art with Procreate or Adobe Illustrator.

  • Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui pattern awareness for designing real-world implementation surfaces.

  • Branding and visual identity experience.

  • User research basics, A/B testing, or product experiment design.

  • AI image prompt libraries or reusable style guides for generated assets.

Optional

  • Can build pages in Framer or Webflow.

  • Basic HTML/CSS literacy for technical discussion with developers.

  • Behavioral design or cognitive psychology background.

  • Basic 3D design with Spline or Blender.

  • Experience designing AI product surfaces such as chat UI, agent UI, or streaming output.

What you'll get

  • Freelance project-based collaboration with clearly scoped milestones.

  • Scope-based compensation negotiated by project complexity and timeline.

  • 100% remote work with GMT+7 overlap preferred.

  • Opportunity for recurring long-term collaboration if both sides work well together.

  • Direct feedback from product, founder, and engineering, plus real shipped product surfaces for your portfolio.

  • Practical exposure to AI-assisted workflows and product work across web apps, AI, fintech, and internal tools.

  • A defined amount of AI tool access and token budget can be provided for collaborator work, experimentation, learning, and workflow optimization.
